Hunt was the coach who gave Motshwari his big break in the PSL after signing him from Mohlakeng’s Trabzon FC.
The midfielder has struggled for game-time under Jose Riveiro this season, making just four starts in all competitions!
“His time at Orlando Pirates is up according to what I have heard. Everyone knows that his contract expires at the end of the season.” a source told Citizen.
“There have been talks already with the management because the technical team was not really certain which players they are going to need for the next campaign.
“But, that just opened doors for SuperSport to pounce on him. Going to SuperSport gives him an opportunity to play more, because it is something that is not guaranteed at Pirates for him. I think that is why he has signed a pre-contract.”
In other news, Orlando Pirates could be smiling all the way to the bank come the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
The Buccaneers have already secured R8 million in prize money after winning the MTN8 title.
Furthermore, Jose Riveiro’s side have to win their final match of the DStv Premiership season to secure second spot against AmaZulu with a healthy scoreline.
