Orlando Pirates latest | Ncikazi a valuable asset at Bucs, says Riveiro

Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has commented on his relationship with last season’s co-coach and now assistant Mandla Ncikazi.

Ncikazi was retained to be part of the new technical team led by the Spaniard, and he has described their relationship as ‘very good’.

In his own words, Riveiro said Ncikazi is a valuable member of his coaching team, saying he brings in a lot of knowledge and experience.

Ncikazi’s understanding of the players and the league are what Riveiro said his other members of the Pirates technical team will learn from.

And the fact that Riveiro is new in the job and the season is just days away from kicking off, means he will rely on Ncikazi more during this period.

RIVEIRO VALUES NCIKAZI’S PRESENCE AT ORLANDO PIRATES

“Mandla is a valuable asset in our coaching staff. He’s going to bring a lot of knowledge and experience about the tournament, the players, the other coaches. So, we are learning also with him,” said Riveiro to the media.

“He’s an important part in this quick process that we have to do in order to be prepared.”
