Orlando Pirates have reportedly just signed one of their main targets. Here is the latest.

Orlando Pirates have reportedly just signed Keagan Johannes from PSL rivals, SuperSport United.

The talented 23-year-old defender is the latest player to join the Bucs.

Johannes has already signed for Pirates, according to reports.

“Keagan Johannes is said to have already put pen to paper,” the report read on SNL.

So, if these reports are true then Pirates have already completed three signings.

Moreover, amidst all this transfer action, they are searching for a new coach. Since Sergio Alemenara left, Bucs management have prioritized finding a new assistant coach to join up with Riveiro. Additionally, Pirates have been linked with a European coach. Meaning, Riveiro and the Bucs could come back from their tour to Europe with a coach from the prolific football continent.

Pirates will take on European Champions Sevilla in Spain.

“We’re going to Spain again. The trip last year proved successful. The results are there to show,” the insider stated on the same publication.

“The team will spend another two weeks and play a few friend matches that side,” he added.

Therefore, Pirates will play more pre-season friendlies following their match with former Europa champions, Sevilla. Last season. the Bucs finished their tour of Europe unbeaten. Thus, gaining priceless valuable experience. In fact, they went on to win the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup. Now, they have higher ambitions. Pirates return to the CAF Champions League and they want to compete for the trophy. Meanwhile, Pirates want to end Mamelodi Sundowns dominance of the DStv Premiership.
