1) RECENT FORM SPELLS DANGER FOR CHIEFS

Chiefs have drawn two and lost one of their last three matches. Therefore, accumulating just one point out of s possible six in the DStv Premiership while being knocked out of the MTN8 by AmaZulu.

However, Pirates have just come off their best performance in recent memory – a 3-0 whitewash over PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns! They are in the MTN8 final and they won their last PSL encounter 2-0 against Golden Arrows. To make matters worse, Chiefs dropped points against some pretty average opponents, drawing 2-2 with TS Galaxy and losing 2-1 to Chippa United. In summary, Chiefs are underperforming while Pirates are in the form of their lives!

Riveiro has brought in the likes of Kermit Erasmus, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, Miguel Timm and Bafana Bafana striker Evidence Makgopa. While promoting Saleng, who has become one of the most exciting players in the PSL.

Unfortunately, Timm is SUSPENDED. However, Riveiro is getting the best out of Erasmus, Ndlondlo and he still has Makgopa ready to make his mark. Unfortunately, Amakhosi have had a mixed bag with their signings with Siyethemba Sithebe underperforming and Ashley Du Preez lacking goals. This will have to change on Saturday, if Chiefs are to avoid a hiding in the Soweto derby.

Arthur Zwane and Chiefs will have to fix a lot of issues this week. Derbies do bring out the best in players so, all hope is not lost for Amakhosi.

However, if you’re a Bucs fan – momentum and confidence is sky high given their recent form – a worrying sign for Chiefs!
