Former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer finds a new home in Russia

Former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has found a new club in Russia just a season after being sacked by the Soweto giants.

Former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer has found a new club in Russia just a season after being sacked by the Soweto giants.

Zinnbauer has signed with Lokomotiv Moscow are one of the respected teams in Russian having won the Premier League three times in their history.

But most importantly, Zinnbauer may get the opportunity to coach in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in the future.

And this is because Lokomotiv Moscow have previously made appearances in the two European competitions.

Last season, Lokomotiv Moscow finished six in the Russian Premier League, and Zinnbauer will hope to build on that success and improve the club in the new season.

FORMER ORLANDO PIRATES COACH LANDS A NEW JOB IN RUSSIA

“We are glad to welcome Josef Zinnbauer to our team. As we planned, Lokomotiv is strengthening the coaching staff with a specialist with good experience in various championships,” said Lokomotiv Moscow in a statement.

“When inviting Josef, we also took into account that he has serious experience in working with young people and shares the principles of the game that we want to see played by Lokomotiv.”
