Orlando Pirates FC have landed themselves in hot-water with the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The league’s prosecutor confirmed that the Mayfair side will be hauled before the Disciplinary Comittee later this month.

“I can confirm that Orlando Pirates Football Club has been charged for spectator misbehaviour arising from the pitch invasion of their spectators in the semifinal match between themselves and Mamelodi Sundowns.” PSL Prosecutor Zola Majavu said in a statement.

“They will appear before the PSL DC on the 14th of November 2022 at 10:30. Thereafter, I will update you on further outcome of those proceedings.

“And as always, in the intervening period, there will not be a further commentary on the matter.”

As reported by The South African. In the first round of the MTN8 this season, neigbours Kaizer Chiefs were punished with a R200 000 fine for the same offense.

The good news however is that should Orlando Pirates lift the MTN8 title, that fine will be all but forgotten.
