Royal AM appear to be edging closer to sealing a deal to sign an Orlando Pirates legend they have long been linked with since 2022.

Happy Jele is at Royal AM where he has started training with the Shauwn Mkhize’s club under the watchful eye of returnee John Maduka and Abram Nteo.

Jele was pictured alongside his soon-to-be teammates, and he appears ever closer to completing his switch to Thwihli Thwahla.

Jele is eligible to sign with a team of his choice even outside the transfer window as he’s a free agent.

In fact, the 36-year-old defender could have done earlier in the season as he had his clearance since the day he left Pirates in July 2022.

Jele parted ways with Pirates at the end of last of season after rejecting an offer for a non-playing role within the club he served for 16 years as a player.
