Orlando Pirates latest: The FIVE players that left Bucs this week

Bucs will be without five players in this week’s training sessions after they packed their bags and left for their international assignments.

Orlando Pirates will be without five players in this week’s training sessions after they packed their bags and left for their international assignments.

With Bafana Bafana taking on Sierra Leone and Botswana on 24 and 27 September respectively, four of Pirates are already part of Hugo Broos’ camp.

And they are captain Innocent Maela, midfielder Goodman Mosele, attacker Zakhele Lepasa and centre-back Nkosinathi Sibisi.

The quartet have been impressive for Pirates since the start of the season, and they are the reason Jose Riveiro’s team is sitting second on the PSL log.

And Broos couldn’t overlook the good performances the abovementioned players have dished out, and he will hope they replicate that in the two friendlies.

WHO IS THE FIFTH PLAYER THAT LEFT ORLAND PIRATES THIS WEEK?

Goalkeeper Richard Ofori is the fifth player that left Pirates this week after being included in the latest Ghana squad.

The Black Stars of Ghana secured international friendlies with Brazil and Nicaragua and they will play them on 23 and 27 September respectively.

The two matches are part of Ghana’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup tournament which gets underway in Qatar on 20 November.

As things stand, Ofori appears likely to be the only player to represent the PSL at the global games between November and December.
