An Orlando Pirates reserve coach has been shortlisted for a surprise new job in Malawi according to reports

The man in charge of Orlando Pirates’ impressive Diski Challenge team has been linked with a move abroad.
Orlando Pirates reserve coach Mandla Qhogi has been shortlisted for the head coaching role at Malawi’s Silver Strikers according to reports!

Qhogi led the the Buccaneers to an impressive third place finish in last season’s DStv Diski Challenge campaign.
More impressive was their flamboyant style of play which saw them score 57 goals in the campaign.

“Orlando Pirates reserve coach, Mandla Qhogi, is reportedly in the race for Malawi’s Silver Strikers FC’s job.” a FarPost report read.
“Mandla Qhogi’s name is featured on the list of 12 candidates earmarked for the Silver head coach job. Qhogi has served Pirates development team for some years.”

In other news, Jose Riveiro has backed academy graduate Boitumelo Radiopane to return to the club a complete player.
Radiopane was sent out on loan to Cape Town Spurs at the beginning of the season following a stellar Diski Challenge campaign last season.

He won all of the accolades in a record-breaking 24-goal reserve league campaign for Orlando Pirates.
While many fans believe he was ready to don the first team jersey, Riveiro is certain his time will come after his current loan deal elapses.

“Boitumelo is a Pirates player,” the Orlando Pirates coach said as quoted by KickOff.
“I think he’s doing a good job after a long period injured. I don’t know the coach (Shaun Bartlett) but I know very well that he is a coach who can help him in his development there.
“I’m pretty sure that he [Radiopane] can manage to achieve the standard you need to play for Pirates.”
