Olisa Ndah was ruled out before kickoff meaning that Pirates will field a back three of Tapelo Xoki, Nkosinathi Sibisi and skipper Innocent Maela. Ndah, Richard Ofori and Thembinkosi Lorch are all expected to be back in action towards the end of January.

Starting XI (3-4-3)

The formation has been announced as a 4-4-2 on the official Pirates Twitter but it’s certainly a 3-4-3 when the Buccaneers don’t have the ball.

Sipho Chaine, Bandile Shandu, Paseka Mako, Sandile Mthethwa, Thabang Monare, Kabelo Dlamini, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, Fortune Makaringe, Zakhele Lepasa
