The release of capped international midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase from Kaizer Chiefs on Friday has stirred a passionate reaction from fans on social media.
The Khosi Nation have taken to Twitter to vent their feelings on the situation but there isn’t really a consistent party line.
Some supporters of Ntshangase have claimed he was never given a fair shake at Naturena while others felt Kaizer Chiefs direct style of play doesn’t suit the attacking midfielder.
Unfortunately for Ntshangase there are plenty of Kaizer Chiefs fans with long memories who recall rumours of bad behaviour while he was still with Black Leopards.
A tantalising talent rarely seen in a Kaizer Chiefs shirt, there is a definite sense of wasted chances hanging about the whole affair.
For still others on social media, Kaizer Chiefs were equal to blame in the Ntshangase saga, knowing already that discipline had been a problem for the talented man from Pongola.

Questions were raised as to why, after an entire season when he didn’t get a game, Ntshangase and Kaizer Chiefs chose to extend their apparently mismatched relationship.
As to what was behind his failure to launch at Kaizer Chiefs, fans had plenty of suggestions ranging from the high life to witchcraft.
