Banyana Banyana star Noxolo Cesane finds new home abroad

Banyana Banyana star Noxolo Cesane has signed for French club Stade de Reims Féminines from the Hollywoodbets Super League side University of Western Cape.

Cesane, 21, joins Division 1 Féminine club on a one-year deal and it will be her first experience in Europe.

She made her debut for the South African senior women’s football team in 2019 and was part of the Banyana Banyana team that won the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July in Morocco.

Cesane played a big role in helping Desiree Ellis‘ charges win the tournament as she provided two assists.

“I love everything about this sport. The team spirit, the competition… I love what I’ve been doing since I was little,” Cesane said after penning a deal with Reims.

“I am very happy to join the Club for the next two seasons. I can’t wait to start on the pitch, to work with my teammates and to meet you! See you on Sunday in Delaune to face OL.”
