Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs offered him a deal but nothing has been made official yet.

At this stage, it is not known if the Tunisian mentor has accepted the Amakhosi offer. The 58-year-old, who is currently coaching Moroccan giants FAR Rabat, revealed Chiefs are not the only club that made an offer for his services.

According to reports, Nasreddine Nabi is a favourite to take over from Cavin Johnson as Kaizer Chiefs new coach. His last task is to help his side reach the Moroccan Throne Cup final this weekend.

“The South African offer was not the only one, but rather I received several offers. But I will have a meeting with the team (Rabat) president (Mohamed Haramou) to talk about this issue,” Nabi said.

“I am currently focusing on the cup semi-final match against Maghreb Fez. I tried to raise the morale of the players and told them that there is still a chance to win [the Throne Cup],” he added.

AS FAR bosses might give Nasreddine Nabi a green light to join Kaizer Chiefs if the Soweto giants buy him out of his contract. AS FAR missed out on winning the Moroccan Botola Pro League title by one point on Friday night with Raja Casablanca crowned champions.

“Tunisian Nasr Al-Din Al-Nabi leaves the Royal Moroccan Army Club at the end of the season after agreeing with the South African team, Kaizer Chiefs,” read a Twitter post by BeIN SPORTS.

Nabi still not 100% confirmed for Amakhosi job despite reports

According to iDiski Times, Chiefs might take their preseason training camp to Europe as early as next week. If this is true, Kaizer Chiefs might be forced to start their preseason without Nasreddine Nabi to assess players.
