Kaizer Chiefs are set to begin their preparations for the next season, later this week and could see new faces.

It is now widely publicised that Chiefs are set to announce Nasreddine Nabi as their new ahead of next season.

Three weeks ago, this publication reported that Chiefs had now firmly settled on Nabi as their main target. It was not long before the club decided to step up their pursuit for the coach. They sent a delegation of team officials to try and convince him of the Amakhosi project. It’s believed that he then asked them for two things. A long-term vision from the management as well as freedom to select his own technical team.

Nabi set to arrive at Chiefs soon

If the latest two updates are anything to go by, it seems as if Chiefs were able to produce both. The following week, reports came out that the Glamour Boys had reached an agreement with AS FAR for Nabi’s early release. The next update was that they had agreed personal terms with the Tunisian.

Chiefs have since acted quickly by securing the services of Frenchman Fernando Da Cruz. He is set to be Nabi’s choice for a right-hand man. Earlier in the week, this publication reported that he should be arriving in the country as early as this week. Furthermore, he seemed to prove that theory write after penning an emotional farewell letter to AS FAR on Thursday.
