This time around, they take their rivalry to Makhulong Stadium, the scene of their league opener where the Soweto Giants prevailed after overturning a 2-1 halftime deficit to run off 3-2 winners.
Despite the confidence Chiefs will take into Saturday’s encounter, veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune believes their opponents will pose a different challenge this time around.
“We might have played them already this season, but this is a different ball game,” Khune told the Chiefs website. “They are hosting us, but for us playing home or away is not different because we are fortunate to have fans who travel to all of our games and we must use that to our advantage. We are not expecting an easy match but we ready for the fight and want to ensure we carry on in the competition.”
