Kaizer Chiefs are through to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup following their 2-1 win over Casric Stars at FNB Stadium on Sunday.

Bonflis-Caleb Bimenyimana and substitute Ashley du Preez scored for Chiefs while Casric Stars netted through Kgomotso Mosadi.

Chiefs were awarded an early penalty, and it was Caleb who stepped up to score what was his fifth penalty of the season since his arrival.

Arthur Zwane’s men went into the halftime break leading but they were given a scare in the 62nd minute when Mosadi leveled matters for Casric.

However, a minute later, Du Preez came from nowhere to hand Chiefs winner and seal their passage to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.
