Nabi to bring his technical staff to Naturena?

According to a report on iDiski Times, Nasreddine Nabi is insistent on having his own technical team, an assistant coach, a goalkeeper coach and a strength and conditioning coach at Kaizer Chiefs. Meanwhile, a local assistant could be discussed in order to familiarise himself with the playing staff and the league. Chiefs are reportedly willing to offer him two of the three positions within his technical team, while the idea of retaining Dillon Sheppard has also been discussed.

“Nabi feels they are close to reaching an agreement, but there’s one or two things that need to be ironed out,” a source close to the coach confirmed to iDiski Times in the same report.

Nabi to be tempted into bringing Yanga stars to Kaizer Chiefs?

Fiston Mayele has been a long to medium-term target for Kaizer Chiefs, and it would make a lot of sense if he joined his Yanga boss and moved to Naturena and would be a natural candidate to lead the line in Nabi’s favoured system. With Ranga Chivaviro seemingly headed to Pirates, Mayele will now be Chiefs’ focus in the market. They need a number 9.

Another option, aside from Mayele, is Young Africans holding midfielder Yannick Bangala, who wears their number 4 jersey. The Congolese schemer is also one of the club’s most prized assets. Nabi should consider his eligibility and suitability at the base of that Chiefs engine room.

We’ll have more on this situation as it develops. It would make a lot of sense for Nabi to keep a treble-winning technical team together though, wouldn’t it?
