Maritzburg United have announced that eight players will be leaving the club as they look to better fortune next season.

A number of experienced players are among the departures including Clayton Daniels, Nazeer Allie and Ryan Rae.

In addition, the KwaZulu-Natal side have also said farewell to Phumlani Ntshangase, Lucky Baloyi, Steven Pereira and Tato Lesoma.

Maritzburg United finished 12th last season

The Team of Choice will now be in the market for replacements ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Ernst Middendorp’s side finished 12th in the recently concluded season with 31 points after their 30 matches.
