TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR OFFER

As The South African website reported last week, the London giants received a partnership offer from Mzansi worth R1 billion.

The Daily Maverick’s Rebecca Davis wrote: “The presentation specifies that the total value of the sponsorship deal between SA Tourism and Tottenham Hotspur FC would be £42.5-million over three years — which converts to R910,997,814.75 in South African currency, or just under a billion rand.” – Read the full story here.

MANCHESTER UNITED SENT A PROPOSAL

According to few visual images circling around social media, Manchester United, a club that has been in financial ruin, is believed to have contacted Mzansi to ditch Spurs in favour of United.

According to Olly Barrant, a correspondent at Features Stories News, Manchester United did not deny the reports, adding that sending out proposals to potential partners is the club’s norm.

“Manchester United tell me:

“While we don’t comment on confidential sales processes, it is not unusual for us to create mocked-up assets of this kind for prospective partners,” the club told Barrant.

“There is never any certainty that such processes will result in sponsorship agreements,” the report added.
