The PSL transfer window is closing TODAY, 22 September, and The South African website takes a look at what to expect at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Almost every PSL team did its business early in the transfer window, but it will not be surprising to see some big moves on deadline day.

Sundowns have some tough decisions to make after bringing in a host of new signings and releasing only a handful.

WHAT COULD HAPPEN AT MAMELODI SUNDOWNS ON PSL TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY?

Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to get at least one deal over the line, and it is that of Moroccan defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil.

Boutouil’s deal was confirmed by his now former club Chabab Mohammedia some months ago but Sundowns are yet to unveil him.

At first, it was reported that the delay had to do with Boutouil’s visa issues, and it remains to be seen if that will be resolved before midnight.

Headlining those that might leave is Lyle Lakay who’s reportedly in the Mother City to complete season-long loan deal with Cape Town City.

Lakay was initially reported to have attracted interest from SuperSport United but it appears Cape Town City are the frontrunners to sign him.

There is still a Kermit Erasmus transfer issue that needs to be resolved – the diminutive striker has already been linked with both Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City.

Should he go to City, it would probably be on loan while Chiefs may be forced to buy him out of his contract if they are indeed keen.

A number of players such as Lesedi Kapinga, Gift Motupa, Katlego Mohamme and Sifiso Ngobeni could also be loaned out to different clubs before tonight after seeing little to no game time at Sundowns.
