Mamelodi Sundowns to offer THREE players for SuperSport United star! 

Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be hot on the trail of yet another of the DStv Premiership’s finest talents, ahead of the transfer window.

Mamelodi Sundowns are believed to be hot on the trail of yet another of the DStv Premiership’s finest talents, ahead of the transfer window.

According to the latest reports, Sundowns have registered a firm interest in the services of Thapelo Maseko, from rivals SuperSport United.

Although they’re supposed to be rival institutions, the rivalry between Sundowns and SuperSport seems to exit just on the field of play. Off the field, the two Tshwane-based sides seem to share a good business relationship, with plenty of players moving across the divide, and ultimately benefiting both parties.

Just in recent times, Sundowns have been able to acquire the likes of Aubrey Modiba, Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule just to mention the latest players. SuperSport have also benefitted from the relationship having acquiring a decent batch of players on loan from their neighbours such as, Ricardo Goss and Grant Margeman this season.

It now seems as if Sundowns are looking to go back to SuperSport and raid them for their latest hot prospect in Maseko. According to Soccer-Laduma, they are willing to offer up to THREE players in exchange for the flying winger’s services. 

Sundowns to offer trio to SuperSport

“The Siya crew revealed last week that the Brazilians were considering a whopping R20 million bid for the junior international, and it’s emerged that figure could involve defender Mosa Lebusa as well as two players currently on loan, in midfielder Grant Margeman and striker Etiosa Ighodaro.” Said the publication.

It is then further stated that Sundowns have started informal engagement with SuperSport over the possibility of signing Maseko, despite their rivals insisting he will not be sold to anybody, anywhere for at least another season.

Maseko has attracted bids from Belgian topflight side KV Westerlo, who have seen both of their offers for the youngster turned down. Will Sundowns be smelling blood and find another opportunity to scoop?
