Mamelodi Sundowns return to DStv Premiership action this afternoon when they host Richards Bay FC at Loftus Versfeld stadium.

The Brazilians are fresh off a superb CAF Champions League quarterfinal victory over Algeria’s CR Belouizdad over the weekend.

As far as the DStv Premiership is concerned, the champions have struggled in recent matches.

Their last three matches have all ended in a draw! Richards Bay on the other hand are also struggling BIG time.

The Natal Rich Boys are winless in their last 12 matches and have gone from second on the log to 10th!

“We do not want to become familiar with losing,” – the Mamelodi Sundowns coach said as quoted by IOL.

“Sundowns are the gold standard of South African club football. We are by far the best team in the country.

“We find ourselves in a moment of transition and though seemingly seamless and easy on the eye.

“The make-up of the squad is that they have less than 200 Champions League appearances together.”
