Mamelodi Sundowns fans will have to remain patient in their wait to see new signing Abdul Boutouil don the Brazilians jersey in the PSL.

Boutouil made his debut for the Brazilians in a CAF Champions League match in October but is yet to feature in the PSL.

The Moroccan defender joined Sundowns at the beginning of the season on a three-year deal from Botola Pro club SC Chabab Mohammedia.

And now, head coach Rhulani Mokwena has since delivered more bad news regarding the defender.

Mamelodi Sundowns defender’s debut delayed

Abdul Boutouil has undergone an operation and will remain sidelined for an indefinite period of time according to Mokwena.

“We only have two long term injury concerns which is that both Abdul Boutouil and Terrence Mashego have gone under the knife and undergone surgery.” – Mokwena told the Mamelodi Sundowns media department.

In other injury news, Orlando Pirates’ trip to the capital to face log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns has gotten all the more difficult.

And it has since been revealed that star Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile is in-line to make his eagerly anticipating return.

The Namibian marksman missed majority of the first half of the campaign due to hernia surgery.

Sundowns star returns for Orlando Pirates clash

“Mamelodi Sundowns are set to welcome back striker Peter Shalulile when hosting title rivals Orlando Pirates in a DStv Premiership clash.” a Kickoff report read.

“Shalulile underwent an operation in October after suffering a muscular injury. However, the Namibian international has since made a full recovery. He’s set to resume full-time training imminently.”
