Mamelodi Sundowns defender Khuliso Mudau has left Mzansi shores. The Bafana Bafana star is waking up in Turkey.

The off season break came late for players like Mudau, thanks to the Nedbank Cup final and then the Bafana Bafana World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. The Sundowns star has since jetted out of Africa. The 29-year-old has been spotted in Turkey visiting a Dental Practice.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane loves to speak frankly. Here’s his take on Teboho Mokoena’s situation.

Mosimane has been back in South Africa since the start of June. This has meant plenty of media time and honest opinions on the local game.

If you’ve been reading the news, you are probably aware Sundowns star Mokoena has reportedly been reluctant to sign a new deal. Why? Rumours say he is wanted abroad.

Speaking to the media this week, former Sundowns coach Mosimane believes the 27-year-old should be let go before his deal expires in June 2025.

“Well, I think Teboho [Mokoena] has done it all locally [winning titles],” Pitso Mosimane told FARPost.

“I think it’s high time for him to move and go face new challenges somewhere else.

“When are they going to release him? Are we going to wait for the [Mamelodi] Sundowns contract to expire then he can be released? I’m asking. Won’t it be late at that time? I’m asking; I’m not sure. For me, whilst he is still at his peak, he should be allowed to go,” Mosimane concluded.

Mamelodi Sundowns star Tashreeq Matthews arrived in Tshwane from Sweden. The former Ajax Cape Town star says it has been tough.

Matthews left Cape Town as a teenage to test himself in Europe at places like Borrusia Dortmund in Germany. Fast forward a few years and the Hanover Park-born star was signed by Mamelodi Sundowns from Sirius in Sweden.

“It wasn’t the easier period for me because there’s a lot of quality [players] around in the team – everyone has to work hard. But if you are willing to work hard then the guys are ready to help you find your way into the team,” Matthews said after making 17 appearances that included four goals and one assist.

“Of course, I had to spend time with the coach. If you don’t know certain things you have to go to the coach and tell him so he can explain to you in more detail what he wants in the system,” the Sundowns attacker added.
