MAMELODI SUNDOWNS STAR BONGANI ZUNGU DECLINES A BREAK

We’ve all seen evidence of Zungu struggling with fitness, and we’re therefore not too surprised by his current decision.

The Duduza-born 30-year-old has remained at Chloorkop to train on his own while his teammates enjoy the World Cup break.

“I am looking forward to playing and helping the team, more especially in the Champions League and I am nearly there because the team is off and I am training at Chloorkop,” Zungu revealed to the Citizen.

“I have been working very hard on my fitness and I don’t feel any pressure. I am at peace and I am doing quite well in training and in time, my best will come.

“It is going to be an exciting comeback for me and I am not being pressured by the club. By next year or in the game against Orlando Pirates I should be in top shape,” the Sundowns midfielder concluded.
