Sundowns: Zwane names two Brazilians he looks up to

Not many players stay evergreen for such a long spell and still show they have a few many more years on them, Sundowns’s Zwane is one of those.

The Tembisa-born superstar has revealed that he is inspired by players such as Thiago Silva, 37, and Dani Alves, 39, who are both still doing the business on the pitch for Chelsea and UNAM.

“Age is nothing but a number, but it’s all about how you carry yourself,” Zwane told SAFA media, as quoted by iDiskiTimes.

“There are top players overseas that encourage us. They are old now, but they are still playing at the highest level.

“I can make an example of Thiago Silva now, he’s 37 now, he’s still playing at Chelsea. And Dani Alves is still performing.

IF THEY CAN DO IT, SO CAN HE

“So I told myself that if those guys they can still [be] pushing themselves, why not? I’m still gonna push myself,” the former Vardos FC and Mpumalanga Black Aces star added.

“As long my legs allow me to go on, I’ll still go and I’m just trying to be a good example to the youngsters that if you are serious about your career, you can go far,” the player known as “Mshishi” concluded.
