Mamelodi Sundowns legends Teko Modise and Tiyani Mabunda have officially returned to The Brazilians BUT not as players…
The legendary duo will be serving as official club ambassadors for Masandawana.
“I am very honoured and humbled to be back, everyone knows what I achieved with the club,” Modise told Mamelodi Sundowns Magazine.
“To be back here is something that I thought would never happen. I have won trophies with the club and have memories here with all the superstars I played with,” stated Modise.
The former Sundowns star is grateful to be back with a club he achieved so much at.
He played for them between 2011-2017 when they won the CAF Champions League and two PSL titles.
Mabunda played for the Pretoria-based giants for the last 8 seasons, retiring at the end of last season. He is excited about the new journey ahead.
“I can’t wait to go out to further amplify the brand of the club to make sure we keep dominating, not only on the field but in all spaces. We want to make sure that the players are more relatable with the masses and those are some of the reasons we are here.” expressed Mabunda.
The Brazilians welcome back both legends just days before their massive DStv Premiership clash with Orlando Pirates.
Orlando Pirates host Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 25 September.
Kick-off is at 15:00 SA Time.
