Sundowns have just signed Chilean midfield maestro Marcelo Allende.
He was signed for a staggering R51 MILLION fee, according to KickOff.

This makes him the most expensive player in the history of the DStv Premiership and the PSL.
“In order to get him out of the club belonging to the City Football Group, Mamelodi Sundowns had to pay three million dollars, an extremely important figure for the Charruas, who in 2020 transferred to the club on a free deal,” reads a statement Chilean publication named Encancha.

This signing more than doubles that of Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams.
Williams is believed to have been signed for around R20 MILLION, according to the latest figures on Transfermarkt.

He was reportedly worth R28 MILLION but The Brazilians had to dig deep into their pockets to fork out way more as a result of buying him out of his contract. Allende is a midfielder that has been dubbed ‘sensational’ in the South American media. He must be if Sundowns are willing to pay so much to secure his services.
