Mamelodi Sundowns bring in new Sporting Director – from Denmark

Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly set to welcome Danish Football Union talent development manager Flemming Berg to Chloorkop.

Berg will become the Sporting Director at the Tshwane giants and will join on 1 April (no April Fool’s joke) this year, according to to Danish Publication Ekstrabladet.

The 49-year-old Dane has been heavily involved with developing talent for the Danish national teams since 2015 and has received wide acclaim for his exploits with the Danish FA.

Berg will look for areas for improvement at Mamelodi Sundowns

The publication indicated Berg will be assessing the Mamelodi Sundowns squad and looking for areas with room for improvement – if any!

The news of Berg’s departure was confirmed by the Danish Football Union in an official statement.

“Everyone in Danish football owes Flemming Berg a big thank you for his great and tireless efforts and contribution to the development of Danish football,” football director Peter Møller said on the official website.
