MAMELODI SUNDOWNS LAUNCH THE TEKO MODISE STORY: DONA – LIFTING THE CURSE

The obvious question is, what is this Teko Modise short film really about? The story simply captures the former Mamelodi Sundowns players’ ‘curse’ his glittering career when it hit the darkest of times before the voodoo was eventually lifted.

The episode opens with one of the DStv Premiership legend’s greatest ever goals while he was still playing for SuperSport United. The next scene sees the Soweto-born star expressing what is presumably his acquired philosophy: “If you love and respect this game, it will love you tenfold,” said the 39-year-old.

MAMELODI SUDOWNS’ CRUEL FEBRUARY FIXTURES

It’s brutal at the top. DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns will play seven matches in 24 days, with Al Ahly in the mix!

Anybody who watches the local game will tell you that Kabo Yellow have a big squad with the best talent in the country, with some of those players struggling for game time. You can hear the words from Rhulani Mokwena or Manqoba Mngqithi telling the players at Chloorkop: “you will all get a chance to play guys, we have so many matches!”

Looking at the club’s upcoming match programme, which includes a trip Cairo to battle Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly, it is almost too much football. No wonder Manqoba has repeatedly said the team doesn’t train, there is no time. It is all matchday after matchday with chill recoveries in between.

Without further ado, let’s look at these Mamelodi Sundowns February fixtures. Read the full story here.
