DStv Premiership players have nicknames like “Messi,” “Aguero” and “Lukaku.” One Mamelodi Sundowns star has been mocked for such.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Neo Maema has been left embarrassed after calling his teammate “Messi” on social media.
Following Kabo Yellow’s 2-0 win over Chippa United in the DStv Premiership on Monday, the club’s left-back Aubrey Modiba scooped the Man of the Match award.
The event was followed by his teammate Maema going over to Twitter to say “well done Messi.”
“Proud of you. Congratulations Messi. Man of the match,” Maema said. The 26-year-old from Bloemfontein did not expect the backlash that followed. It turned out to be a mistake. Twitter users hardly showed any appreciation for the nickname given to the player who is otherwise known as “Postman.”
