REVEALED: Why Andile Jali is leaving Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns and Andile Jali are set to go separate ways this week to end their five-year working relationship.

And this is no shock as Jali hasn’t been in the Sundowns team since early this year following reports of a fallout with one of the coaches.

On Thursday, Jali’s agent Mike Makaab confirmed that his client will be leaving Sundowns, and he has revealed the reason behind his departure.

According to Makaab, Jali is leaving Sundowns purely because of ‘technical reasons’ and not because of what has been reported in the media.

“An official statement will come from the club, but when a “new coach” comes in to the building…he has his own thoughts and ideas, and we have to respect that and so does AJ,” Makaab told SABC Sport.

“I know that Sundowns are very appreciative of the value that Andile has brought to the club and he is too of the way he was welcomed. He wore the captain’s armband, which is one of the great achievements. There’s absolutely nothing else other than purely technical reasons.”

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS DEFENDER SET FOR LOAN MOVE

Mamelodi Sundowns defender is again on the move in the off season as chances of him featuring for the Tshwane giants are minimal.

Siyanda Msani spent this past season on loan at Richards Bay FC where he really shone but according to his agent Paul Mitchell, the left-footer won’t return to the KwaZulu-Natal club.

Mitchell revealed that they are looking for a club for Msani, adding that there are possibilities both locally and abroad.

However, he was quick to admit that Msani could end up playing locally although that team will certainly NOT be Richards Bay FC.
