Orlando Pirates legend Lucky Lekgwathi is back in business and pictures posted on social media show just how stunning his newly revamped restaurant looks!

The former Buccaneers captain’s restaurant, named Grootman by Lucky Lekgwathi, in situated in the Southdale Mall in Johannesburg.

It was looted and vandalised during the unrest that took place mainly in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal in 2021.

Lekgwathi, now 45, managed to raise the money to get the popular restaurant back up and running – and it looks stunning!

The Orlando Pirates defender had help from an unlikely source in former Kaizer Chiefs legend Willard Katsande whose construction business was also heavily involved in the restoration.

Lucky Lekgwathi played 225 times for Orlando Pirates

Inside, the walls are decorated with the signed jerseys of Orlando Pirates stars Linda Mntambo and Wayde Jooste, as well as one of Katsande’s Kaizer Chiefs jerseys.

Lekgwathi played 225 matches in total scoring 14 goals for Orlando Pirates. He also earned 14 caps for Bafana Bafana.
