The Premier Soccer League may be on its Christmas break, but the club’s are working overtime to line up transfers for the January window.
Here we look at the Latest PSL transfer rumours and football gossip.
Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly set to go head to head for Sekhukhune United’s Yusuf Maart.
The clubs also face the threat of the well-backed Amazulu FC swooping in on Maart with the promise of working with Benni McCarthy.
Maart’s current contract with Sekhkhune United runs until June 2023.
At this stage the club have received no formal offers for Maart.
Former Swallows FC Coach Brandon Truter could be headed to Sleepy Hollow if rumours that Ernst Middendorp is not long for the Maritzburg United job prove true.
The coach would only confirm that he has been talking to clubs about his next appointment.
“Yes, I am talking to a few teams,” Truter told KickOff.
“I am looking and I am also available. I am having a meeting tomorrow and probably will have a new team in the New Year.”
AmaZulu are keen to strengthen their first-team squad ahead of the group stages of the Champions League.
Usuthu Director Manzini Zungu confirmed the club were eager to add to their squad.
“If you look all the groups are evenly matched up, and of course, we’re playing against previous winners of the tournament but at AmaZulu we have experienced players,” Zungu told KickOff.
“We have a good team that has been assembled, and we are looking forward to strengthening our team even further for the Champions League.
“We don’t want to be competing just for a solitary season, we want to continue competing at the highest level at the Champions League.
