LATEST: Mbule is ‘NOT FOR SALE’ to Chiefs … or any club!

Sundowns have been said to be known admirers of Mbule, while some reports have suggested the midfielder increasingly seems destined to rather head to Kaizer Chiefs if a move away from SuperSport does materialise.

Mbule’s agent Mike Makaab confirmed on Gagasi FM that his player was indeed of interest to Chiefs, while there are suggestions that an official offer from the Glamour Boys could soon be signed and sealed as they look to secure the services of the former South African junior international. 

However, SuperSport CEO Stan Matthews has set the record straight in an interview with KickOff.

“Chiefs have not tabled an offer for him and even if they did, he is not for sale to any club at all this season. I can’t comment on what his agent is quoted saying.

“I spoke to his agent this morning and the words “offer from Chiefs” never came up.

“You will have to ask him because all I told him was that Sipho is not for sale to any club until he shines again for SuperSport United.

“Let his performances do the talking instead of his agent.”

A change of scenery could work in Mbule’s favour

On the back of a stellar 2020/21 season, where Mbule managed four goals and six assists from 25 league games, he has only played just nine of SuperSport’s 17 DStv Premiership games this campaign.
