Latest PSL transfer rumours

Here we look at the hottest football gossip and transfer rumours relating to the PSL and South Africa.

Kaizer Chiefs chasing Usuthu midfielder

According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs are keen on signing Amazulu midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe.

Sithebe is a lifelong fan of Chiefs and could make the move sooner rather than later with Amakhosi desperate to bolster their options in midfield.

“The boy (Sithebe) is a Chiefs fan, he grew up supporting the team and his favourite player was Siphiwe Tshabalala. So, I don’t know if you see where this thing is going, but I think it’s very clear.

“He didn’t make it a secret that he idolises Tshabalala, everybody knows that. He wants to be as successful as Tshabalala and be a good role model as him. Don’t be surprised when you see him being announced at Chiefs,” a source told the Citizen.

No Orlando Pirates recall

Orlando Pirates striker Monnapule Saleng looks set to remain out on loan at Swallows FC.

It had been suggested that Saleng was set for a recall as injury and illness ripped through the Pirates squad, however, with Thembinkosi Lorch back in action and Zakhele Lepasa and Ghabadinho Mhango set to follow suit he will be remaining with the Dube Birds.

Kaizer Chiefs reject could be looking for a new club

Siphelele Ntshangase could be looking for a new club again, having only just signed with Marumo Gallants.

Ntshangase has not impressed coach Dan Malesela, according to rumours coming out of the Mpumalanga club.

He failed to make an impact on the recent match against Orlando Pirates and was subbed off after just 35 minutes.

Orlando Pirates still keen on striker

Having previously failed to secure the services of Nigerian forward Chibuike Ohizu from Sekhukhune United, Orlando Pirates could have another crack in January.

Pirates have struggled in front of goal and Ohizu is considered an option to lead the line for the Sea Robbers.
