The Phefeni Glamour Boys came into the clash full of confidence after a midweek 3-0 victory over Maritzburg United but were deflated.

Arthur Zwane has lamented a ‘failure to turn up’ from his side after Chiefs were thumped 4-0 by Mamelodi Sundowns.

Zwane said that he felt the team threatened to get back into the game in the second half, but Sundowns were too clinical.

“Ja, look we were nowhere near in terms of performing today. I think the boys looked flat. They didn’t come to the party. We were just not ourselves. You look at from the first goal, it was a manna from heaven for them and I think from there we lost it,”
