There is a new twist in the disappearance of TS Galaxy midfielder Khayelihle Shozi, and it is NOT good news!

On Saturday, reports emerged that Shozi was found months after his disappearance; his family hasn’t been seen since October 2021.

Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Steve Komphela shared a video of Shozi being surrounded by police, much to the delight of football fans on social media.

However, it has been confirmed by multiple sources, including Komphela himself and South African broadcaster Robert Marawa that Shozi has, in fact, NOT been found.

According to Komphela, the video of Shozi doing the rounds on social media is actually old – meaning the former Sundowns midfielder is still missing.

KHAYELIHLE SHOZI HASN’T BEEN FOUND

IS SHOZI SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS?

In an interview with Marawa on Friday, Shozi’s brother Simphiwe said he wasn’t aware that the TS Galaxy star was suffering from mental illness.

And that none of the teams he played for, including Sundowns and TS Galaxy, ever reported anything like that.

“I was not aware that my brother suffers from mental illness. None of his teams have ever reported anything of that nature to me,” said Simphiwe.

While Shozi is on the books of TS Galaxy, he was sent out on loan to GladAfrica Championship side JDR Stars for the 2021-22 season.
