The top-class striking duo of Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly have given many Kaizer Chiefs fans hope that the club can rekindle the glory days of yesteryear.

Dolly’s arrival appears to have brought out the best in Khama Billiat, who has recently rediscovered his scoring touch.

Since Dolly opened his account, he too is looking great in front of goal.

The pair have the potential to make fans forget that striker Samir Nurkovic is a long-term absentee, and also to get Kaizer Chiefs moving up the PSL table.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Rene Richards believes that Billiat and Dolly will produce the goods in a crucial clash against SuperSport United on Sunday.

“I think Khama and Keagan can go all the way, reclaim the glory days for Kaizer Chiefs. They are capable of leading the team to glory,” Richards told Soccer Laduma ahead of the match at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium.

“They are very experienced players, have done it before and now they have their mojo back, I can feel it has been back for long time, they will show us against SuperSport United.”

SuperSport United skipper Ronwen Williams believes the key to stopping Billiat and Dolly is to track their runs and not allow them to get into space.

“Obviously knowing defenders, they prefer playing against the bigger and stronger strikers that they know,” Williams told journalists.

“But now they will be facing Khama and Keagan, who move so much – the main thing for the defenders is to track the run. Pick it up early because we know how they want to play and we know they’ve got a lot of pace. But in saying that, we’ve got to stop the supply, if that doesn’t come then they won’t be a threat. It’s what we’ve been working on, so hopefully things can be good for us.”
