Aggressive talk: Kaizer Chiefs’ Bobby on Blom contract

Kaizer Chiefs’ beloved star Njabulo Blom has unfortunately been in the news for contract talks rather than the business on the match green grass.

KAIZER CHIEFS AND NJABULO BLOM’S AGENCY CLASH

As The South African reported in the past week or so, the Glamour Boys and Blom are clashing over new contract talks.

“The situation appears to be a sensitive issue that has left all parties involved increasingly frustrated,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest edition.

The report said Blom and his representatives feel the 22-year-old is underpaid, while Amakhosi feel offended after developing the Soweto-born player to make a name for himself at a massive brand.

“Soccer Laduma has been informed that the relationship between the player and the coach has been left severely strained,” the report added.

BOBBY MOTAUNG GIVES HIS VIEWS, TAKES A SHOT AT ROB MOORE?

Speaking to the media this week, the club’s team manager Bobby Motaung gave the club’s perspective on the player’s situation.

“Njabulo Blom is going nowhere, he’s staying with us,” said Motaung on Ukhozi FM, as quoted by iDiskiTimes. 

“His matter we are sorting it and we are sorting this matter without noise, without agents who are talking in big English.

“We as a club are sorting this matter with his parents to say ‘the boy is coming from our development structures and he’s going nowhere.

“Unless there’s an offer overseas and the offer is good for him and the club is happy with that offer, then we won’t stand in his way, we’d let him go.

“As it is now, he’s a Kaizer Chiefs player and he’s here with us,” he concluded.
