Chiefs willing to offload this defender?

The imminent arrival of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe could soon see Kaizer Chiefs opt to offload another player before the next season.

In the second of two big announcements last week, Chiefs confirmed the signing of a pre-contract in securing the acquisition of left-sided centre-back, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, from SuperSport United.

It comes as Soccer Laduma reports that Amakhosi are apparently ready to part ways with defender Austin Dube, who has not been in favour under coach Arthur Zwane.

“The club has instructed his camp to find him a team. With the signing of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United, everyone can see now that Dube will not play, a source told Soccer Laduma.

There have recently been other Chiefs player rumours

Young Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe could reportedly be loaned out after battling for regular game-time with Amakhosi.

Sabelo Radebe, 22, is a highly-regarded young prospect, but has played very little for the senior side and there may be worries that his career is beginning to stagnate.

The youngster is under contract until June 2026 on a long-term deal, and while Chiefs wouldn’t want to bid farewell to ‘Bibo’ permanently, Soccer Laduma reports that he could be sent out on loan.

It’s suggested that Radebe is highly sought-after, but that Stellenbosch could end up being the destination for Radebe, with the club having developed a strong working relationship with Chiefs.

“There was an opportunity for Bibo to go out on loan last season already,” the Soccer Laduma source commented. “He wanted to stay and fight for his place under (Arthur) Zwane. Now there could possibly be a Stellies option on the table for him.”
