Kaizer Chiefs return to DStv Premiership action this evening when they visit Stellenbosch FC at the Danie Craven Stadium.

The Glamour Boys will be desperate to get their post Stuart Baxter era off to a winning start, and in the process put an end to a two match winless run to an end.

For the hosts on the other hand, they’ll be looking to pick up just their second win in nine matches when they host Kaizer Chiefs tonight!

A victory for the visitors could see them climb back into the top three with five matches to go while Stellenbosch could move above the Amakhosi in fourth spot, should they come away with a comfortable win!

Kaizer Chiefs WILL rebuild against Stellies – Ngezana

“We will rebuild against Stellenbosch. We hope to finish the season on a high note, that’s the only thing we can do now.” Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana told the club’s media team.

“The Stellenbosch game will be crucial for us. It’s an away game, but we are looking to return home with three points. We shouldn’t have lost the last game.

“But it’s a learning curve for us. We created a lot of chances, but it was one of those days when luck was not on Kaizer Chiefs’ side. They created only two chances and managed to convert one of the chances they had.

“There was a lack of concentration on our part and we could have defended better as defenders. They caught us out of position and scored.

“Now (against Stellenbosch) we need to rectify our mistakes. If we manage to keep a clean sheet at the back, we would be doing our job as Defenders.

“I’m pushing myself hard to be consistent and to help Kaizer Chiefs to win games. It is up to me to push myself and things will fall into place.”
