Orlando Pirates welcome arch rivals Kaizer Chiefs to the Orlando Stadium this afternoon in the first DStv Premiership installment of the titanic Soweto Derby.

The two rivals have already met twice this season in the MTN8 semi-finals with Orlando Pirates putting Kaizer Chiefs to the sword after a 5-0 on aggregate victory.

This time around however, the Amakhosi look much more settled under new coach Gavin Hunt. The Buccaneers sit just four points ahead of their visitors and a victory will be a must for both teams this afternoon.

We miss the supporters – Gavin Hunt

“Generally, you need the support of the fans and I think we could have got a few more points had the supporters been allowed‚ but it is what it is‚” Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt said.

“The whole world has been affected. A team like Chiefs cries out for the supporters and there is no doubt about that. It elevates the team to another level‚ certainly we miss them. It’s something that we just have to deal with.

“For me it has always been the other way around, playing in front of 500 supporters and against 50‚000 when you play against the big teams. Nobody saw this coming but we do miss the supporters greatly.”
