Mamelodi Sundowns duo of Gift Motupa and Khuliso Mudau are doubtful for today’s clash against Kaizer Chiefs while Lebohang Maboe has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

The good news for the Brazilians however is that Themba Zwane, Mosa Lebusa and Mothobi Mvala are set to return to the squad this afternoon.

Kaizer Chiefs on the other hand will be without Leonardo Castro, Siyabonga Ngezana and Dumisani Zuma while Lebogang Manyama could return for the Glamour Boys this afternoon.

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has commented on discussions surrounding today’s clash against Mamelodi Sundowns as a ‘title-decider’.

“I think this is very early, everybody is trying very hard to put down these markers for everybody else. These DStv Premiership title markers.” Stuart Baxter said.

“I think you’d take it in a heartbeat, any positivity that can help you going forward, and certainly a victory for one of the two teams in this game is a bit of a marker for everybody else and a positive sign that your development is going in the right direction.

“All that being said, either team that loses this game between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, I am guessing, will still be one of those that are there about when we come to the end of the season. It’s an important one for confidence, but it’s not a must-have, it’s a nice to have, I think,”
