Chiefs should sign this Stellies star, not Mendieta or Mthethwa!

Kaizer Chiefs are hotly linked with Stellenbosch duo Junior Mendieta and Sibongiseni Mthethwa, but these are the wrong targets!

Kaizer Chiefs are most likely to add one or two new signings from Stellenbosch FC next season, such is the growing relationship between the two clubs.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN MENDIETA AND MTHETHWA?

According to widespread reports across Mzansi, the mighty Amakhosi are believed to be chasing the Stellenbosch duo of Junior Mendieta and Sibongiseni Mthethwa.

Mendieta is viewed as the creative spark to link Amakhosi’s midfield and the frontline, while Mthethwa could replace the likes of Njabulo Blom, Cole Alexander, and Phathutshedzo Nange in the number six role.

But are these two players the correct targets? Maybe not.

IBRAHEEM JABAAR

Having watched hours of Stellebosch performances in the past two seasons, the most dynamic midfield player in the team is the 20-year-old midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar.

Not only is the Nigerian junior international a tireless ball-winner similar to Blom, Jabaar has the supreme athleticism to carry play into the opposition’s box.

Watching Jabaar often leaves you unsure of whether he is a defensive midfielder or central midfielder, such is his industry in the engine room.
