ERICK MATHOHO TO LEAVE KAIZER CHIEFS

After just a single appearance for Chiefs last season, we all thought it was curtains for the 32-year-old Mathoho as a Glamour Boy.

The June/July transfer window came and went as Amakhosi brought in new central defenders while “Tower” remained as his legendary peers drove out of Naturena for the final time.

According to iDiskiTimes’ Robin Duke, the Glamour Boys will not be renewing Tower’s deal.

Erick Mathoho is unlikely to be offered a new deal and looks set to leave Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the season when his current contract expires, iDiski Times has learnt.

“Chiefs, by all accounts, will finally say goodbye to one of their soldiers, who along with Itumeleng Khune are the sole survivors that won two league titles in Stuart Baxter’s first stint,” the outlet added.

AMAKHOSI SIGN GIVEN MSIMANGO FROM TS GALAXY

In other news, Amakhosi have pipped the Pirates to the signature of Given Msimango of TS Galaxy.

According to the report by SABC Sport’s Mazola Molefe, the 25-year-old from Gauteng’s Brakpan has signed a four-year contract but will move at the end of the season in June.

“Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have concluded the signing of highly rated TS Galaxy captain and defender Given Msimango following a lengthy chase, SABC Sport understands,” the report said.

“The Glamour Boys were reportedly close to bagging the center back ahead of the current 2022/23 season, but the deal did not go through even after Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi made it clear that The Rockets were open to selling – READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
