The PSL transfer window is closing TODAY, 22 September, and The South African website takes a look at what to expect at Kaizer Chiefs.

It is expected to be a very quiet day at Chiefs after having done their transfer business early but perhaps there might be a few surprises in store.

As things stand, Chiefs have 10 new signings, including Mduduzi Shabalala who was promoted from the development in the off-season.

But could there be any movements now that the PSL transfer window slamming shut at midnight?

WHAT COULD HAPPEN AT KAIZER CHIEFS ON PSL TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY?

Kaizer Chiefs might have recently signed Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana from Burundi but the truth is that they still look thin upfront.

And it is for that reason a number of their fans have called for the signing of Kermit Erasmus, although this will not be an easy deal to pull off as the striker is still contracted to Mamelodi Sundowns.

There is also talk that Golden Arrows attacker Pule Mmodi could still end up at Chiefs after expressing interest in moving to Naturena.

Several players such as Erick Mathoho, Happy Mashiane and Phathutshedzo Nange have been linked with moves away from the club.

Mathoho and Nange, specifically, have been linked with Swallows FC and SuperSport United respectively while Mashiane hasn’t been linked with any team.

Chiefs have bolstered their squad in departments where the trio play, and those signings include midfielders Yusuf Maart, Siyethemba Sithebe, and defenders Zitha Kwinika and Edmilson Dove.

And it remains to be seen whether Chiefs would be tempted to let the trio go or keep them for when they have injury and suspension issues.
