This begs the question as to whether or not Erick Mathoho is safe from the axe for Ditlhokwe to come in and assume one of the two centre-back positions at Chiefs.

Mathoho has been at Chiefs for almost 13 years now, and he has undoubtedly served the badge with distinction but his time seems to be up.

His lack of game time (one substitute appearance) means Zwane could be planning for life without him with this signing.

After all, rumours have been rife that this could be Mathoho’s final season at Chiefs, and Ditlhokwe’s arrival could spell an end to the lanky defender’s time at Naturena.
