Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Fringe star to join SuperSport United?

A move for out-of-favour Kaizer Chiefs midfielder to SuperSport United is reportedly on the cards either before January ends or in July.

A move for out-of-favour Kaizer Chiefs midfielder to SuperSport United is reportedly on the cards either before January ends or in July.

According to ThisIsFootballAfrica, Phathutshedzo Nange looks set to reunite with Gavin Hunt at Matsatsantsa after his struggles with game time at Chiefs this season.

Nange was believed to be the player to fill the void left by Njabulo Blom in the Chiefs midfield but Arthur Zwane has opted for young Samkelo Zwane.

Even the likes of Siyethemba Sithebe and Cole Alexander haven’t been featuring that much for Chiefs, but things appear to be getting worse for Nange.

The 31-year-old has featured just twice for Chiefs this season, including a single start, and he hasn’t been in Zwane’s matchday squads since September.

Nange was previously linked with a return to Stellenbosch FC but Chiefs reportedly wanted Junior Mandieta in exchange.

However, the two clubs couldn’t agree as Stellies couldn’t afford to lose Mandieta to Chiefs, and therefore, the proposed deal fell through.

SUPERSPORT UNITED WANT NANGE FROM KAIZER CHIEFS – REPORT

“According to a close source, Phathutshedzo Nange the man in question, is on the Matsatsantsa Head Coach Gavin Hunts’ radar, having first worked with him at the successful and now defunct Bidvest Wits, and then bringing him to Naturena in season 2021/22.”
