Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Another youngster set for promotion

Kaizer Chiefs are set to promote yet another youngster as Arthur Zwane appears to be relying more on recruiting from within the club.

Kaizer Chiefs are set to promote yet another youngster as Arthur Zwane appears to be relying more on recruiting from within the club.

Left-back Omega Mdaka has been spotted training with the Chiefs first team, and it may not be long before he turns out for Zwane’s charges.

Mdaka has been a stalwart for the Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge team, putting in some solid shifts at left-back, and he’s now ready to compete with the big fish.

KAIZER CHIEFS SET TO PROMOTE OMEGA MDAKA

Mdaka’s introduction to the Chiefs senior team is seen as readying him for the challenge perhaps for when the new season starts.

And that’s because he’s fast approaching 21, and in January 2024, he wouldn’t be allowed to feature for the Chiefs DDC team.

Mdaka was born on 08 December 2022, meaning he would be 21 by the end of 2023, and perhaps his promotion is inevitable.

Kaizer Chiefs have promoted several young players since Zwane took over as coach, and they include first team regular Mduduzi Shabalala.

Other players are Aden McCarthy, Samkelo Zwane and most recently, Wandile Duba was given his biggest breakthrough in the professional ranks.
